Fractal:Intelligence
Example Projects
There are two example projects installed with every edition of Fractal:Intelligence to help you get quickly oriented with its features. Below are listed several more example projects that further demonstrate the wide range of possible uses of Fractal:Intelligence.

Asset Manager Performance
This project shows the sort of Fractal Map a chief investment officer or risk manager at an investment fund, multi-fund or hedge fund company might use to understand or monitor performance, contribution, attribution and exposure by manager, country and sector.

Cash Equity Trading
This project shows the sort of Fractal Map a trader, head of desk or market risk manager might use to analyze or track P&L and risk by trader, strategy, country and sector. The project is based on an equity desk, but similar maps can be used for equivalent roles in Fixed Income, Credit, Forex and Commodities.

Equity Derivatives Market
This project shows an example option chain for exchange traded stock options - in this example Vodaphone - allowing a trader to identify 'cheaper' options more quickly.

Financial Control
This project shows the sort of Fractal Map a financial controller, finance director or other executive might use to assess company earnings across multiple office locations, business lines and support functions.

Fixed Income Derivatives Risk
This project shows a gamma report for a Fixed Income Derivatives portfolio. Other types of large risk reports can also be successfully transformed into a fractal format for faster analysis.

Operations Dashboard
This project shows the sort of Fractal Map an operations manager or executive may use to assess key performance indicators across multiple geographic locations and performance categories.
By moving your mouse over a circle and "hovering" over it (by keeping the mouse still) for a short time, you will see labels appear to show you the titles of the page you are hovering over (at 12 o'clock) and the pages it is linked to.
In addition, the Fractal Map will show a "crumb trail" for the page you are viewing by highlighting the relevant circles in red. The smallest red circle represents the page you are viewing and any "parent" pages higher up in the website structure will also be highlighted red showing you the route you would take to reach the page. Note that the homepage itself is never coloured red in this way.
